Security & Privacy
How Junior handles your data, which AI models it uses, and your rights under GDPR and CCPA.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is processed and stored in the United States. If you're outside the US, your data may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses for EU/UK users).
Which AI models does Junior use?
Junior is powered by third-party AI providers including Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (GPT). Your prompts, conversation history, and workspace context are transmitted to these providers to complete tasks. We maintain data processing agreements that restrict how they use your data.
What data does Junior access from my connected tools?
Only what's needed for the tasks you assign. When you connect Slack, Gmail, Calendar, GitHub, or other tools, Junior can read and act on data within the permissions you grant. You control what Junior can access.
Is my data used to train AI models?
We do not sell your personal information. We may use de-identified, aggregated data to improve our systems, but this data cannot be used to identify you.
How is my data protected?
We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, access controls, regular security assessments, penetration testing, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure, but we follow industry best practices.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request deletion of your conversation histories, prompts, agent action logs, and AI-generated outputs at any time. Email azzurra@junior.so or use your account settings. Some data (billing records, legal compliance) may be retained as required by law.
How long is my data kept?
- Account info: Duration of your account + 30 days after deletion
- AI interaction data: Duration of your account (unless you request earlier deletion)
- Billing data: Up to 7 years (legal requirement)
- Usage analytics: Up to 24 months in identifiable form
Does Junior access sensitive personal data?
Junior is not designed to process sensitive data like health records, government IDs, or financial account numbers. Avoid sharing this type of information unless strictly necessary.
What about cookies?
We use strictly necessary cookies (authentication, security), analytics cookies, and functional cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Who can I contact about privacy concerns?
Email azzurra@junior.so. If you're in the EU/UK, you also have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Is Junior compliant with GDPR/CCPA?
Yes. We support GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection) and CCPA rights (know, delete, correct, opt-out). We do not sell personal information.
